You'd be surprised! LOL

> What is Idebenone and Vinpocetine? Are you a local guy (US) or other place, which I assume, based on those unusual meds I've never heard of.

Idebenone & Vinpocetine are classed as 'nutritional supplements'. I'm from the UK (England) & actually order them from the US. Despite being 'nutritional supplements' both are actually synthetic analogs of natural occuring substances.

Idebenone is a synthetic analog of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) but is more powerfull & safer as an antioxidant. It also has neurotransmitter raising capabilities. Its also a nootropic (cognitive enhancer) & very neuroprotective. Its good for the whole body, not just the brain.

Vinpocetine is a semisynthetic derivative of vincamine, which is extracted from the periwinkle plant/herb. It increases cerebral blood flow and can improve memory. What I find most benificial from it is that it makes me feel more awake & makes my thinking 'quicker'. For example I've always been a slow writer, basically because I struggle to find the right words or phrases to write. But since taking vinpocetine ideas are coming quick & fast. It also seems to have cleared most of the Klonopin-induced brain fog. I did start on 10mg but had a few mild headaches so reduced to 5mg. Will attempt to increase after a month to see if I can get more benefit from it. It also worked on the first day I took it! I'm sure Idebenone & vinpocetine are working in synergy.

> And I was a Marplan girl myself, many years ago (1994) before Roche pulled it and I was adrift for years without it. I retried this past year with no results at all but I'm happy to hear it works for you. These GD MAO's are killer when they work if you can tolerate the nasty SE's. Does Marplan have many SE's?

Pitty Roche effed things up for you! Up untill now Marplan has had hardly any side effects. A few minor start-up headaches & bit of drowsiness which have now gone. Even low blood pressure doesn't seem to have really hit me yet, though I'm kind of expecting it to. BUT, since about 3 days ago the old familiar anorgasmia has crept up on me - just like with Nardil, which is a bummer! Even though I KNOW it will go after several months I'm not willing to wait that long. My plan is to ask my pdoc if I can try adding a tiny dose of mirtazapine to it, say 1/4 of a 15mg pill or less. As mirtazapine actually gave me premature ejaculation I think it might work.

> 28, such a puppy...I'm more of a middle aged girl but remember I was "frozen in time" for many depressed years and so I still look ageless, despite the sad, lost years.

Puppy? Guess I'll take that as a compliment LOL.

Thanksgiving! Thanks for reminding me! Happy Thanksgiving to all in the US!

Thanks I will :)
