i think my saving grace medication has ALways been zyprexa...it is fast acting for me...literally within 24 hours i feel a difference.
(ex. this last time i went to the hospital, when i was admitted i literally could not physically stop crying except for a few minutes of reprieve here and there) within 24 hours i stopped...maybe partly because of hospital environment, maybe partly physical exhaustion....but quite frankly i've been on it before...i know its the med.)and also i agree about the ritalin. except that its very short acting. only helps for a few hours...better than nothing and VERY helpful if you are in a danger zone.
********
do becareful if you have ever had manic reactions to meds.
i have expecially to effexor and prozac (but don't let my responses to meds effect you....its just a cautionary note) one of those meds may work Wonders for you...just alwyas be alert for a change in your normal behavior.
best wishes
b2c.
