I have "agitated depression". My pdoc views it as a variant of bipolar disorder. I'm treated with an atypical AP (abilify) a mood stabilizer (lamictal) an antidepressant (zoloft) an anxiolytic (klonopin) and a prn antipsychotic (zyprexa zydis)

it's really complicated, and the symptoms come and go. therapy helps too, to learn better coping strategies etc.
