I started Trivastal without much hope, because a med hailed and recommended by many for hypoactive sexual desire didn’t do anything for me in the past. That was Wellbutrin.Well, I began taking Trivastal Retard on 6th of November this year. There were some ups and downs in libido during the first week, but after a week, I really began to garner the best from this med. A heightened libido plus sense of being well. (not euphoria BTW)
But when I pointed my reaction in this forum, some scared the hell out of me warning the effects could possibly be a hypomanic reaction. I stopped Trivastal altogether not experimenting more.
Sadly, my symptoms returned. I descended again to the stubborn anhedonia. Things deteriorated in the department of sex. It was hardly bearable when I know the solution is there in my medicine cabinet. I started Trivastal again.
Now, going up to 100mg after a week I dare recommend this med to all who experience low libido- hypoactive sexual desire disorder. The effects are so striking..
This is definitely not hypomania. Never can it be because; I lack most of the symptoms of hypomania. I don’t space out, don’t have floating ideas or increased energy. All I experience is a recovery from anhedonia plus a huge hike in libido. Not to say increased sexual fantasies as well.
