I want to thank a previous post from October 2007, that I read on this website. It said they were told by their doctor Effexor can stop your period. I am a 45 year old female who was on Effexor XP for almost two years. When my period stopped last Spring my doctor ran a pregnancy test and a pre-menopausal test. Both came back negative. She never said it could be a drug side effect. And nothing I read on the Effexor website talked about this type of side effect. It left me feeling as though something else more serious was taking place. Now I can rest easy.
