Ok, thanks for your input. I will definately take this up with my pdoc, if I arm myself with enough articles from pubmed etc. he might allow me to try it, although I have a strong feeling Provigil can give me only a transient boost, if at all. However, it will at least buy me some time to evaluate other options.
