In reply to Nardil weight gain - What on earth is happening?!?, posted by tapiocamonk on February 17, 2008, at 16:16:27
Hi,
That much weight gain that fast is probably water weight. Edema is a common side effect of Nardil. When you pull your socks off in the evening see if there is an indentation in the flesh. Water weighs a lot. Google Nardil and edema together.
Good Luck,

> A few days later, I began a very serious workout program at a boot camp in NYC (http://purepowerbootcamp.com/). It's an hour/day, 4 days/week of some of the most strenuous exercising I have ever done. A tone of cardio; it's just completely intense. I've also started lifting weights in the past week at a gym in addition to the boot camp.

> I was expecting to weigh somewhere in the mid 160s when I weighed myself this morning for the first time since my January 30th weigh in. Instead, I was shocked to see that I now weigh 184lbs!!!!. That's a 14lb gain in just over two weeks, as is about 20lbs more than I was expecting to weigh.

> My pants seem to be fitting looser or at least just as loose as they were fitting a few weeks ago, but the scale still says 184 (and I checked it on a second scale). Some of this could be muscle, but that couldn't be anywhere near the 14-20lb overweight number that I was hit with.
