Hi,
Your doctor had you try 45 mg and then backed it down because of increased agitation? I don't understand, then, why the doc would have you go from 30 to 60 mg.When I went from 60 mg to 75 mg, I developed akithisia right away. I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin, and I couldn't sleep at all. After about five days of this, I called my doc, and she prescribed Gabitril to try. That did nothing, so eventually I had to go back down to 60mg. since then, whenever I've made a dose change, I do it in half tablet increments, i.e. from 30 to 37.5 to 45 to 52.5 to 60 to 67.5, etc. That seems to work better for me, though it's kind of annoying to have to cut the tablets. So in my case, the side effects I had at 75 mg were intolerable and did not go away.
Perhaps try going up slower? You might find a dose that includes a half tablet that works best for you.
