Depression - hormonal, situational?

Up until age 40, life was fine.

I may be predisposed to depression, personality analytical, critical thinking, introverted, and I believe d runs in the family.

Increased debt of late has not helped . . . I wonder how much is situational and how much is just genetics, hormone changes at 40.
