I feel relatively normal for me. I think im finally giving up my valium (10mg/as needed) for my panic/generalized anxiety.
My theory as to why the lamictal set off psychotic symptoms involves some research that was done on NMDA receptors and their glutamate levels in relation to hallucinations in psychosis/schizophrenia. The main function of lamictal is to block glutamate (the brains primary excitatory amino acid).
The hallucinations always seemed to happen at night so my guess is that since lamictal has such a wide variability in its bioavability (ie its different for every single person) what was going on was that my blood levels of lamictal were dropping causing a general surge of glutamate which of course affected certain NMDA receptors and i went nuts. So when i increased the dose it increased bioavailability and psychosis subsided.
Of course theres no way to prove this and no one is going to put the research into seeing if their product makes people well...flip the hell out unless theres substantial cases.
And yes im fine now aside from very minor visual things such as stationary objects looking like they're moving (vibrating) for a second but thats so minor it doesnt disturb me.
