It sounds hormonal to me. What you describe is a common pattern seen with hypo-adrenalism, where cortisol is low much of the day but bounces back later in the day.

You would learn a lot by ordering an adrenal stress index test, which you can do yourself online, or through your doctor. You want to test saliva cortisol 4 times during a day to see the pattern and how it compares to a normal pattern.

You can try juggling doses and stuff, but if that doesn't help much, then please do not forget about the hormone cortisol. It controls everything your drugs are trying to do.
