pre-medication before dental care

I've just made an appt. with a new dentist and the receptionist asked me if I needed any "pre medication before dental care"

I'm assuming she meant a xanax or valium or something.

I have xanax and klonopin at home. Should I take one (the dentist freaks me out!) super-phobic. I guess the answer is yes...

any of you have experience with pre-medication?
