Hi Marsha,
The best thing I have found for Nardil insomnia is a very small dose of Seroquel. Some doctors may think using an atypical antipsychotic for insomnia is too far out there. But if you can't sleep, you can't get well. I only use 25mg nightly and it has almost never failed. I've been on Nardil for the better part of eleven years and this is the best I've found. My MD writes the perscription for 25 to 75mg nightly, so one perscription lasts me three months. I am very sensitive to antihistamine products such as diphenhydramine(Benadryl), they knock me out, but the tolerance builds up fairly quickly. With Seroquel, I have had no tolerance buildup in over a year of nightly use.
Good Luck,
Jedi
> How can I deal with the Nardil insomnia? I am going to bed at 11 and waking up at 1 or 2 or 3. Im a zombie the rest of the day unless I can get a nap and end up having to take extra benzos to get a nap during the day.
