BIG TIME SUCCESS!
Since I added Deplin 7.5mg to my treatment regime, my life has completely changed for the better.
My fear is the Deplin might only work magic when combined with an MAOI. I'm going to follow my doctor's experience with this "medical food" drug as he treats more and more people with it.
In any event, my current treatment for severe bipolar depression is:
Nardil 90mg
nortriptyline 150mg
Lamictal 200mg
Abilify 20mg
Deplin 7.5mgIt is my hope that Deplin will demonstrate efficacy when combined with all standard antidepressants.
You MUST wait for 2-4 months for Deplin polypharmacy to produce significant results. Of course, some people might have a more immediate reaction. Most people seem to have a brief "blip" of improvement in their depressed state during the first week. It might last for only 1-3 days. However, it is possible that this phenomenon is a prognosticator of a more robust response with extended treatment.
Good luck.
