>I took provigil for about a year and in a way loved it. It definitely elevated my mood and energy level, the problem was it made me a little hypomanic and very irritable in the evnings. I am normally little miss sunshine (to a fault) and on provigil I was like Cinderella, around 7 p.m. I turned evil. that is why I was so happy to find dex. I do not toerate ritalin and the newer jazzy ADD drugs either didn't work or had side effects that were too invasive.
Dexedrine was and is perfect. At just 10 mg in the morning, I have more ability to concentrate and stay awake. Now I do still go back to bed after taking it but I don't sleep as long. I have a pretty good doc so I am hoping he will put me back on it or raise the Wellbutrin to help offset the sleepies.
