> Well going to try and add some paxil to my luvox. Did it once before many years ago only two that did work for me. First ad was l0mg of paxil with xanax and 25mg of lopressor to keep anxiety down the pdoc said then. I was laid out in a hammock for three months and then was better. Anyway at some point was put on only 5mg of paxil and 12.5mg of luvox and it worked better than either alone. And xanax also. So paxil thought I'd try 5mg with my 50mg of luvox. Should I take the paxil morning or night? Luvox is at night. With valium and lmg of xanax. Thanks in advance. Love Phillipa
With only 50mg of Luvox, the Luvox should probably be at night, you don't need to split 25 and 25 particularly. The same goes for Paxil, at night -- since you're already splitting the pill anyhow (they don't make 5s) Both are the most somnolent of SSRIs so this would be a good match at night. As for the safety and effectiveness, well, I can't say a lot but I think its not much to worry at those doses.
5mg is an extremely low dose but I've heard of people responding at low levels. Depends on the condition.
One thing you have to remember with Paxil is that the half life is short and the withdrawal syndrome is fairly strong, so if you commit to it, don't forget to take it, and if it isn't doing anything for you, you're going to have to take a rather strong splitter to get off of it (2.5mg). Although you could probably drop 5mg safely. As they say, your miles may vary.-- tidings
