Hi,

I am diagnosed as Bipolar II as well and I have never had the hypomania. My mania seems to manifest itself as fear and anxiety.

I didn't look up my Dx - I just asked. To tell you the truth I don't believe there's such a thing as a hard and fast diagnosis except for major depression and straight Bipolar. And anxiety disorder. I think the rest are kind of fluid and they don't really know exactly what it is you have (according to the DSM) but they have to code you as something so they pick the thing that most closely remembles your symptoms.
