I've been on lithium and depakote but not at the same time. If this were a multiple choice quiz and I had to take my best shot, I would place my bets on lithium as the culprit. Lithium to me caused a good deal of tenseness, wired feeling, almost like too much coffee, and it is also intertwined in the serotonin circuitry which could explain the sex stuff.

Depakote could of course be guilty, but I don't recall anything vaguely similar to what you are describing from depakote. I was on 500mg and then 1000mg. At first it was kind of warming and slightly calming, but after a few weeks it was completely invisible. Lithium on the other hand was loud.

But that's just my experience. You know how mileage varies.
