I'm going to be brave with my p-doc

Hello everyone,
I have a new pdoc and the bottem line he doenst want me on Benzo's, he said its like drinking "Gin" i disagreed with him and told him the many times it saved from a panic. He thinks antipsychotics, alot of the newer treatments, work. He does not like the cocktail im on with benzo's and wants to take me off slowly.
Any say of this? my old pdoc believed in antianxiety medications much. This one is the is the other "spectrum" from him. I take a sleeping medication, and says, no more of that.
Its so hard looking for a psychiatrist because my other psychiatrist, well there was just some crap that got started. Its going to be hard with him.
He put me on Abilify. I've noticed some diffrence, the other mood stabizer i was on was causing SEVERE weight gain.
I'll be brave......
