Mirapex sleepyness question

Posted by satsumas on May 29, 2008, at 17:49:24

Hi, few questions for those of you who are using or who have tried Mirapex, either on its own (did it work for depression?) or as an augmentation therapy (why did you do choose mirapex, and did it have an affect, and at what dose?) -- did the sleepyness that Mirapex can cause ever go away with prolonged use?

I'm at 0.5 in the morning and 0.5 when I go to sleep at night. The 0.5 in the morning feels like im popping a benadryl. Luckily it is fairly responsive to caffeine, but I am still not sure if I'll be able to take it in the long term if the sleepyness doesn't go away, especially since to give this an adequate trial, I'd like to get up to at least 1.0 3x a day.

For the record, I'm trying mirapex as an augmentor to 300mg of Effexor, as Effexor has caused incredible apathy, amotivation, cravings, and emotional flatness, which I'm hoping the mirapex can help allievate.
