The side effects from Nardil sound awful(I've had absolutely zero SE from Zoloft apart from the fact that it doesn't work). I certainly wouldn't mind being thrown into a state of hypomania for a while. That's when I do my best writing. Actually, I've been diagnosed with Bipolar Spectrum disorder by a few psychiatrists. But the mood stabilizers, even in low doses, have resulted in retardation. In fact, Lamictal made me both manic and retarded. Lithium made me zombified and severely depressed as did trileptal. Anti psychotics like Abilify and Zyprexa made me manic(though I did some of my best writing on Abilify after not sleeping for two months straight--the writing I did is good even as I read it now). The only med combo that has ever stablized me was Desoxyn--a stimulant--combined with Klonopin..this recipe actually calmed me down, reduced my social anxiety, eliminated my depression without inducing mania...and enhanced my creativity. However, my new doctor refuses to script these apparently 'addictive' meds.
