Beginning of AD's

Think I read in a Thread here and only think it was SLS that may have said that first few days of an add in of a new SSRI or other med may make you perk up a bit is this true and then does it go down hill for a while and how do you know if it will perk up again or not work at all? Thanks Phillipa
