Hi, as some of you might remember i wrote about maybe adding Lexapro to my Remeron. I am uni-polar depression, stress related.
After too many and too long set-backs with 60 mg Remeron alone, I finally decided together w. the doc to add Lexapro 3 weeks ago. I also wanted to cut down the Remeron dosage slowly to 45 mg in the evening, to avoid too much tiredness.
I have done like this: 3 days 5 mg Lexapro, the next 13 days 10 mg and finally the last 5 days 15 mg.
It worked well within the first 3-4 days w. only minor side effects such as less appetite and some light feeling of uneasiness (I have normaly no anxiety) and after some days they vanished.
But I was getting a lot more tired.After going up from 10 mg to 15 mg (and from 60 to 55 mg Remeron) the side effcts are much more distinct: uneasiness is more and lasts longer, appetite is even more reduced and the tinnitus I had some months ago is back again.
My mood however is more stable (also more numb), but on Remeron alone I could get real happy for weeks and also real sad in the setback periods, now its more like no highs and no lows but its okay for now or some weeks, i did this to avoid the downs.
My question is if I should go back to 10 mg or is it too early too say? As I said I felt better and also less numb on 10 mg but I was afraid of reducing Remeron without increasing the Lexapro.
