In reply to can i mix more lex with wellbutrin?, posted by B2chica on June 27, 2008, at 11:37:44
Unfortunately it is hard to tell when weaning off one med and starting a new one what is doing what. Possibilities:
Go back to 10mg lex, stabilize, add wellbutrin. Then after some time on that, assuming all is ok, try to remove lex. Basically, one move at a time. You certainly can do cross tapers like you are but you have to expect as part of the deal there will be some weird and possibly miserable feelings along the way. Wellbutrin makes some people, like me or SLS, more depressed. So that is a confounding factor too.
If 10mg lex worked at one time you might consider upping it to 15mg or 20mg.
Different people seem to prefer different versions of wellbutrin. Anecdotally with mere casual observation it seems to me the XL version is more often preferred than the others. Even though I don't like generics and there have been numerous accounts of others not liking them, I have also heard of people who are fine with generic wellbutrin. So who knows.
