4mg of Klonopin with 4 drinks is for a very rapid metabolizer with considerable weight to not have respiratory depression. That is a LOT of CNS depressant medication with alcohol.Yes, I did have *at one point* more alcohol than I probably should have had with a higher dose of Valium. But again, in recent times I have always been a heavyset individual with rapid metabolism of at least some substances.
Point being, they're not barbiturates or I'd say just look at the past history of celebrities, but they still have risk of respiratory depression (up to coma).Moderation, moderation. Only you will know when you have exceeded it and hopefully be conscious.
Also, with effexor, I mean it sounds like you're taking medication for anxiety and depression, if I'm speculating -- the alcohol will stimulate but ultimately affect it too, so keep that in mind. And it will only shorten an anxiety provoking situation, just like .... the medication is supposed to in the first place.
