ANYTHING can cause a rash. I get hives from cilantro, and have gotten a rash from fluoxetine -- although only from one generic version. I've taken Prozac, and I've taken various generic fluoxetines, but only the one generic caused the rash. What's the difference? Binders and fillers vary from generic to generic, as well as between generic and name brand.

Is it worth trying Celexa again? It might be, if the manufacturer has changed the inert ingredients, or if you can get a generic from a different manufacturer. Or you could try Zoloft, if that's available to you.

For whatever it's worth, Zoloft was the least problematic SSRI for me. Mileage, of course, varies greatly.

Best luck.
