You're not going to become a clinic patient, if you mean a guinea pig -- if you're in a unique situation in a metropolitan area that has three UC institutions and I forget the number of Cal State, academia is where you are going to find the best psychiatrists because they have been in ER rotations where they have seen many cases before being in clinical practice.I would suggest doing exactly what you seem to not want to do:
