I don't think the NSRI Meridia is even listed as an antidepressant anymore - it seems fairly useless. It's listed under weight loss meds now.
Does anyone have any experience with Meridia? At least it's not an anxiety provoking, activating med like so many weight loss meds are. No addiction potential with it either.
There might also be a chance that depression and anxiety could be helped along with weight loss with Meridia? Maybe.......?
I met someone who lost a considerable amount of weight on Meridia while following a calorie restricted diet (and kept it off). She said she felt mild mood elevation while on it, also. Meridia is not an appetite suppressant, it affects satiety.
Admittedly, the reading I have done is not so positive for Meridia's success. But it worked great for the lady I know.
Any experiences welcome. TIA.
