Just wondering what other peoples experiance with it was and if the drowsiness it causes lessens over time (at the moment the drosiness is a positive although a little stronger than i need) And anyone know if the d2 antagonism it has is strong enough to have any anti-psychotic effect? d2 antagonism is only listed as very weak though.

Yes, the drowsiness lessens over time, for some, if they aren't accustomed to antihistamines or the like it can be a slam to the head but it lessens over time. Its actually used for sleep in small doses but looses its effectiveness.

Its one of the few tricyclics to have nearly no D2 activity to worry about unless you're on sky high doses that one shouldn't be on since any tricyclic can be as toxic as a light barbiturate eventually (please people don't take this as any idea, I'm sorry I mentioned it, just wanted to alert in case someone took too much that they should probably skip things or ask their doctor).
