> i have severe schizophrenia, and now psychosis
I thought you had schizoaffective disorder, rather than schizophrenia? And I know little about the schizophreniform disorders, so forgive me my ignorance, but I thought psychosis was a symptom of most schizo. disorders?
Jeroen, you know that I agree with Jay that the psychosis may not be related to Lamictal. I also agree with you that you're in severe pain and need relief. And I thought you'd been on antipsychotics before Lamictal? That would make me think that maybe the psychosis had been there before, and just coincidentally came back when you started Lamictal.
Machts nichts. What matters is that I hope you find a good treatment soon, and it relieves your distress.
Jeroen, I don't know if this is the case, but I wonder a lot if your conviction that Lamictal CAUSED your psychosis might be part of a delusional belief system? You've never mentioned what your symptoms are, beyond what sound anxiety related, so I don't know if you have auditory or visual hallucinations, negative symptoms, etc; and I know very little about schizophreniform disorders to begin with. What I know is that you have a very good mind in there, and it must be so very painful for you. I'm sorry about your pain, and I wish you the best.

I know you said it stopped working after two weeks, but if it was really working that fast, I'd expect the benefits to come back if you were able to reach and maintain a therapeutic dose?
