This is my take on Remeron. I have problems with insomnia. So, seeing how I don't like to rely on sleeping pills for long term use, Remeron 15mg. fits the bill... for me.
I consider it my sleeping pill, it doesn't bother me that I rely on it for sleep, it's classified as an A/D so I may be getting some therapeutic value out of it as well, who knows?
Yes, I have to watch my weight, but sleep deprivation is not for me!
If I'm not getting proper sleep I might as well throw all my other meds out the window as my ability to cope suffers dramaticaly. So, I can deal with my weight with proper diet and exercise. I can't deal with insomnia.
Remeron, 5+ years and it's still effective with no apparent side effects.Just my 2 cents.
