Most of my time is spent trying to get through school and worrying about how to get through everyday life. The stuff I see in the news doesn't affect me one way or the other - it's the stuff going on in my head that has got all my attention.

Maybe not today but the implications could be devastating.Yes, there are a lot of people experiencing PTSD.
Who knows whether hypervigilance after 9/11 (checking my phone constantly, a fear level way higher than my peers) created in me an an enormously complicated orphan disorder that has been here since about Nov 17/18, 2001. Or it could be random happenstance.

People in places that we see as harmful are used to what shouldn't be happening in the world, granted, but they proceed.
If they don't, stagnation, infighting in society, all sorts of unpleasant things that we don't need to discuss in the medication forum end up happening. And that's what we see in the world at large to simplify things.
I believe in a lot of things about our planet and its future, but I can't weigh into those and obsess about them at the same time as feeling miserable and obsessing about my disorder. Its too much for what is already too much input coming into me for unexplained reasons.
Its okay to have some simplicity in living, with realism obviously, because none of us are Atlas.
