I take zyprexa and metformin.
The metformin is to reduce blood sugar increases from the zyprexa. The metformin also helps keep the weight down, especialy when I'm active. I was losing weight when I had the job as pizza delivery. When I left the job I didn't have any problem keeping the weight the same. I've gained a few pounds this last while just sitting on the couch. I'm starting to lose it now. Eating less and more active.
The metformin realy does seem to help. My theory is that I burn more calories when my sugars are low enough. You burn calories when you have the insulin to make your muciles burn the sugars.
Check your sugars and see if you could use metformin. If they are high, metformin would be good!
I take 15mg zyprexa.
