My pdoc was off sick so a locum prescribed some diazepam for me until he gets back. The doctor hasn't been generous - four days supply at 2mg. I'm debating whether to save it up and take as a single dose for an anxiety-provoking event I have coming up, or take one a day to help me lower my dose of zopiclone from 15mg to 7.5mg. I do have hellish anxiety during the daytime and I could do with a break over the weekend. Will it have worn off by Monday?

Most likely. Its not the choice of drug I would think for very short term PRN anxiety management where you want a fast uptake and you aren't using the drug long, like Xanax (which doesnt last long and really shouldn't be used long term for that reason, unless you need it for a particular disorder).

Half hour about 24 hours so it is completely gone in 5 days and probably mostly gone by a few.
