Long Time Antidepressant Psycho Dabblers?

Posted by FrequentFryer on November 11, 2008, at 4:23:55

I have been taking Anti-D's for about 6 years now (mainly for Social Anxiety / Depression) but have tried a hell of allot of combinations in that time because I cycle them quite fast usually only stay on them for 2 - 3 months, then change once they poop out.

Favourites would be Nardil & Effexor

I have been on Nardil 90mg for about three months now and am again thinking about quitting it because the Hyperhydrosis, Weight gain, Constipation and sex side effects barely make up for the tiny mood boost.

I dunno do you guys reckon I should.

A: Lower the dose to 45mg to tollerate the side effects and just stick with it.

B: I always go straight to max dose 90mg's of Nardil and get a bit too high / manic once it kicks in for the first to months. Maybe I should have a med detox then restart Nardil on 45 mg and when it poops out go to 75 then 90 and try and maintain a longer start up effect.

C: Go back to Effexor so atleast I don't need to worry about the side effects as bad and just stick with it.
