Hey Jen, I found that antihistamines only took the edge off, but didn't help too much. I have heard others mention taking a couple of doses of prozac.

Because prozac stays in your system much longer than effexor, it makes the transition to come off it much easier because it leaves your body much more slowly. I really wish I had known about this when I came off effexor. The only other option is to just ride it out, which was really bad for me but it isn't for everyone. Good luck, peace c
