Tep, I haven't taken modafinil but I have taken adrafinil, which is similar.

Modafinil might be helpful.
Or it might make you feel awful.

I took adrafinil for a year, but I stopped eventually because it made me feel worse.....tense and screwed up.
Before that, it had been helpful for many months.
