On the wiki page for Atorvastatin adverse reactions it mentions "Myopathy and rhabdomyolysis occur in <0.1% of patients (less than 1 out of every 1,000 patients). Risk is increased in patients with renal impairment, serious concurrent illness; and/or concomitant use of drugs which inhibit CYP3A4.[4]"

Were the prescribed by teh same doctor, or both docs knew of the other? if its metabolised by CYP3A4, you'll have more of the atorvastatin that you normally would based on your dosage. So as long as your doctor took that into consideration when deciding your dose, its ok.
