I stopped Topamax after one or two months because it reduced the estrogen to the point where my cycle was not regulated at all. I wanted to try Trileptal instead of Abilify, but it interacts like Topamax. I asked my ob/gyn if I could take extra hormones to offset the Trileptal, and she would not entertain the idea. I know some women do take extra to offset interactions like this, so I might ask another ob/gyn.
