Klonopin / Benzo Question

I take 2mg klonopin daily. 1mg when I wake up, 1mg around dinner time. I am wondering why it seems to work much better with the morning dose, throughout morning and into the afternoon than around dinner time and after? The dose is the same, shouldn't it have the same effect? I seem more anxious around the time for my 2nd dose and even afterwords.
