do you mean therapists that consult via text-based chat? there is a place in New York called Centre For Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (http://www.ocdonline.com/) which allows for video (i.e. Skype) conferencing, as well as telephone-based sessions. I've used them in the past, after exhausting all local options, and they are by far the best resource I've come across. They operate on a sliding scale which runs from $30-$250US per 45 minute session. I had to discontinue sessions due to financial difficulties, but will be resuming therapy next week, after a 5 month absence, at a lower notch on the fee scale. I'd also recommend them for anyone with OCD who isn't having any luck with conventional CBT, as they are the only place I've come across who have specifically reconfigured the typical CBT model to suit OCD.
