> mav27 thankyou for your answer. If I may just ask you one more question?----How is the imipramine for anxiety?Or do you use the xanax for anxiety?----Also have you ever used an ssri.If so how did it work for you.I used Paxil for about 7 years, and it worked great, then stopped working. Now I'm resistant to SSRIs that's why I'm asking.
Hmm i would probably say the ssri's were better for anxiety, lexapro worked well for me but i needed something with a bit of an energising kick to it. I also don't like SSRi's because of the side effects i have with them mostly just sexual dysfunction and feeling emotionally dull (zombie like)
But i've been finding myself taking less and less xanax over the time i've been on imipramine( a couple months now) so i'd say it's been doing something right to control the anxiety for me.
I remember the first time i tried imipramine a few years back it caused a couple anxiety attacks sort of like being on edge after having way to much coffee, i didn't have benzo's back then though to help me through it, i didn't get it this time on imipramine though. Only reason i stopped it last time was my heart rate was high and my gp panicked at took me off it. Turns out my heart rate is just badly high naturally :P
