haven't tried l-citalopram but i did better on citalopram. it was the generic ssris response i had on it. overall a net decrease in mood, more flatness, genital dysfunction (i don't have libido problems on ssris). it did stop crying spells and mildly helpful for oversleeping. similar to fluoxetine and 75mg level of venlafaxine.

sertraline was bad, made crying worse and i started to get agoraphobia too, also when i started to frequently imagine bodily harm to myself/torture kinds of things happening. actually not so bad on sexual side effects side. overall very unpleasant experience. maybe as bad as antipsychotics.
