Hi, I went to fill a valid prescription for biphentin (ritalin). The problem was that I accidentally brought in an old prescription (nov 08) that I never filled. The pharmacy refused to fill it saying that it was too old.
After realizing I brought in the wrong (old) prescription I brought in the new one (April 09). They thought it was a forgery and are going to call my psychiatrist.
The only problem is this. While both prescriptions are valid, I had told the psychiatrist I was taking the biphentin when I wasn't (scared of cancer risk). Thats why I had this old precription lying around. So when they call the psychitrist he might hear about the old prescription in which case he's going to know I wasn't honest about taking it. At this point he will probably tell them not to fill the newer prescription. On the other hand, he might not care and say go ahead. Problem is, now that I'm done school, I won't be seeing this doctor again.
Argg. Not much I can do now. I guess so long as the pharmacy knows that the prescriptions weren't forged.
Thoughts?
