Sounds like good ol' fashioned postural hypotension to me - ie. low blood pressure when standing. I've never taken an MAOI but I have had it whilst on a tricyclic and after smoking dope.

I seem to remember my hearing dulling slightly too on occasion when I've had it really bad.
