Well, the guanfacine didn't seem to do much (though I do feel a bit better...) so I asked my doc to prescribe a beta blocker and I'll be starting propanolol today. Hopefully having help with the physical symptoms of anxiety (which guanfacine was intended to help with) will be beneficial.
