I have been a terrible, cranky, irritable person lately. I really need to do something, but I am a bit of a rare case of what I can tolerate.
I have been taking a tiny dose (25 mg) of seroquel along with .5 mg of klonopin at night and I sleep great. But I tend to be mean, bossy and irritable.
Am I just being hypo-manic and need more seroquel (my prescription is written for me to take up to 100mg a night) I can also take up to 1 mg of klonopin a day. The only problem with upping my seroquel is that I feel goofy and groggy.
SSRIs and SNRIs hurt my bladder (frequency, urgency, pain, etc), plus they make me a little manic.
I tend of suffer more from anxiety. I have been under a lot of stress lately. Also, I notice an increase in my irritability during the spring and summer months. You would think with the nice weather I could be a nice person - not so.
My shrink did mention adding a small dose of parnate, but I take tramadol sometimes for a chronic pain condition I have. I have been afraid to take parnate.
Any thoughts on what I should do? If I up my seroquel, do you think it will help and I will eventually get over the goofiness?
