It is just that I found 30mg to be the lowest dosage that I experienced any positive effect at all. I think most people need a minimum of 40mg. However, you might have an exquisite sensitivity to Parnate which will allow you to take lower dosages and retain an antidepressant response.If you have to go up very gradually, you might get to where you need to be. That you experienced any improvement at all is encouraging.
I know you are aware of the occurrence of spontaneous hypertensive episodes with Parnate upon initial titration. I don't know how much they cost, but maybe you can get one of those at home BP measuring devices. One of my doctor's patients developed a headache while taking Parnate. There was no BP measurement taken at the time to know whether or not it was a hypertensive event. Still, my doctor developed a fear of Parnate. Getting him to go up to 80mg was like pulling teeth.
