The kind where you get in that zone and feel like you are practically meditating. I know many that feel the same way. Yeah that really sucks if exercise of any kind does not act as a good adjunct to medications for you.I think aerobic exercise is probably more effective than anaerobic exercise for ameliorating depression. I tried running for awhile. I do feel somewhat invigorated at the end of the exercise just as most other people would, but relatively speaking, this energizing effect is different from a true antidepressant effect. Still, exercising is better than not exercising.

My lack of energy and motivation are obstacles. I am going to try to surmount these challenges and start working out again. It is difficult to get started and make workouts a consistent part of my lifestyle right now.
I managed to workout for a month last December, but I lost the momentum when my grandmother became ill. Her care took up most of my time and energies. I just haven't had the gumption to return.
