Hello,
I've taken Clonazepam consistently for over 2 years in doses ranging from 1 mg to 2 mg daily. During this time I was on various different meds in addition to the Clonazepam. However, I've been only on Clonazepam for the past 8 months and have taken a pretty consistent dose of approx 1.5 mg per day and sometimes even 2 mg a day. As of recently I've been trying to wean off the pill and have been taking .5 mg a day.
Since trying to wean off Clonazepam, I have been getting terrible side effects.
The first and foremost withdrawal symptom I'm getting is tremendous "Eye Pain" to the point where it's constant and it really hurts. The pain can be described as pulsating and irritating to the point that you have to do something about it immediately. As soon as I take the Clonazepam the pain subsides within an hours time.
Question - Has anybody else had this terrible side effect? If so, how long will it last during the weaning period? Lastly, when I went a couple of days without taking any Clonazepam pills at all, I also had temperature changes, flush face, cold sweats, heart palpitations, low mood, slight confusion, and a disconnected feeling from myself and my surroundings. How long until this pills damage is fixed in the brain and the withdrawal effects disappear?
Thanks,
